Five Minute Friday: My Mom
Linking up with Lisa-Jo Baker at The Gypsy Mama for a 5-Minute write.
This weeks Topic: What Your Mama Did
Go.
My mom is one of the most patient mothers I’ve ever met. She waited for 12 years for the Lord to bring her first child into her life. She then had 3 more. She determined early on to let her children be children and not force them to grow up too fast. She loved each of us in our own needed way and did all she could to give us the most love that she could.
She was never one to go with the crowd, no, she set her feet on the path to righteousness and determine to stay grounded there and not be swayed by every wind that blows. She faces toward the Savior and walks toward him daily and strives to take as many with her as she can. Especially her family.
My mom would literally give you the shirt off her back. If you said ‘I really like your necklace’ she would take it off and give it to you. Her heart is pure and she expects nothing in return.
She chose for her children to guide them in truth and she never wavered from that choice.
My dear sweet mom is my biggest fan, encourager and confidant.
