Giving Thanks Days 28-29

Day 28

Today I am thankful for the family which the Lord has brought together in a perfect union. I don’t always understand the reasons He does things the way that He does them, but I know that my little family is beautiful. We work pretty good as a team. We get along really well. My Beloved and I are thrilled to be parents even when parenting is really hard. I am so very thankful that God chose us to be parents to this prefect Little Man.
Psalm 78:4
We will not hide them from their children, Telling to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, And His strength and His wonderful works that He has done.

My dear gracious Father, I thank you for forming this family that I have the priviledge of being a part of. I am honored by your loving Spirit. I am humbled by your tender mercy. Thank you for my husband and my son. Thank you that we are a good fit as a family, that we work well together. That we have fun together. You oh Lord, know the hearts of your children and you have brought together 3 individuals whose spirits blend well in perfect harmony. I thank you O gracious Lord! In the name of your own dear Son, I pray.

Day 29

I am thankful for my Bible class students at our local congregation. This year we have taken our aim at the book of Acts. We are using that book as a springboard to study the whole of the New Testament. They are truly a good group of 3rd and 4th grade children. They are eager to participate. They are excited to be learning directly from God’s holy word. They are anxiously studying their memory verses and quickly adding to their tally of scriptures said. I am thrilled to be able to work closely with my friend Karen in teaching and structuring these classes. It is amazing how God works all things for good.
Psalm 14:2
The LORD looks down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there are any who understand, who seek God.

Father, I thank you for blessing me with the opportunity to teach these little ones your Word. I pray that I may do so in a way that brings glory and honor to your Name. I pray that all that I teach and all that I say will be only truth from your word. May I NEVER, speak false doctrine, may I never allow Satan to have a foothold in what and how I teach. I pray for these little ones that you will bless them with open hearts to hear. I pray that you will bless them with the ability to obtain knowledge from your word. I pray that you will grant them a measure of wisdom to apply the word to their hearts and find within themselves a true love for You. I pray O Lord that the foundations which are laid here in this class in this time, will help them to build a long lasting faith which leads them to obedience. May they forever praise your Holy Name because of your Holy Son.

We are coming to a close on this journey of Giving Thanks. Just one day left.
I have enjoyed exploring gratitude with my readers. I want to say thank you to Davonne Parks for co-hosting this Link-Up with me. I hope that she benefited from the efforts as much as I have.
