Loving my Husband

Marriage: Where 2 Equals 1

I love my husband. How could I not? He makes me whole. I gave up myself when I chose to become his wife. I continue to make that choice for myself each day that I am privileged to walk with him through this life. I am choose loving my husband. Let me count some of the reasons why.

I Love My Husband

The thing is though, the thing I think a lot of couples miss is that he too gave up something when he chose to marry me. He gave up himself, for me.

So while I give myself up for him, he gives himself up for me and we two are one…. We. Are. Complete.

I can not be complete without him. He can not be complete without me. Together we are whole

Marriage where 2 equals One. by Marriage Moments at Great Peace AcademyMarriage, true marriage as God intended is the only union in the world which defies the laws of mathematics.

And He answered and said to them, “Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’ 5 and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? 6 So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.” Matthew 19:4-6.

I love my husband.

He is a good man, full of integrity. He always puts the needs of others above his own, especially my needs and the needs of our son

I love my husband.

He is gentle toward me, he carries heavy things so I don’t have to. He opens doors for me, because he knows it makes me feel loved. He washes dishes after dinner sometimes, because he knows it’s not my favorite housekeeper activity and he wants me to know he appreciates the work I do.

I love my husband.

He supports me in all that I do. He encourages me to take chances that I dream of but doubt my ability to do. He is right. When I step out of my comfort zone and try my talents, I can do more than I imagine. Without his loving support I would be too afraid to try new things.

I love my husband.

He is forgiving of me. When I fail, when I fall down, when I make mistakes, he forgives me, each and every time.

I love my husband.

He is a hard worker. He chooses to work during this difficult time of unemployment, he chooses to go out and work as a day laborer or as a freelancer even when it would be so much simpler to stay home and take unemployment, he chooses to work. To provide for his family, he chooses to work. I love him for it.

I love my husband.
