Marriage Moment: A Call to Serve

A Call to Serve with Purity in Marriage

We live in a culture where marriage the way that God intended it has come under attack. Whether it is from the increased rate of divorce or the social change that seemingly is being forced upon us as Satan attempts to crush God’s plan for the sanctity of marriage through sinful homosexual practices, through pornography which deceives and harms and tears down so many marriages, through adultery and evil sexual practices.  If he can tear down the marriage he can tear down the nation.

A Call to Serve with Purity in Marriage by Marriage Moments at Great Peace Academy

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” 1 Peter 5:8 NKJV.

It will not be until those who are faithful to the Lord, and seek to honor their marriages as a means to Honor the Creator of the marriage union that we will show where our allegiance lies. We need a call to serve. A call to serve the Living God in the face of a nation that seems to be seeking to honor the prince of this dark world.

One of our ministers, Anthony Rex,  presented a wonderful sermon series where he discusses the nature of one to “Pursuing Intimacy.” A persons desire to satisfy every want of the body and the eternal consequences that come from this mentality. For this Marriage Moment I am sharing this sermon here with his permission.

This is a one of those call to serve moments. Who will you serve?

“And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” Joshua 24:15 NKJV

Do you honor God in your marriage, in your intimate relationship with your spouse? Do you lay aside sinful desires of the eye and the flesh in order to seek a pure intimate relationship with your spouse, safely, within your own marriage bed? God never intended for man to fulfill his/her sensual desires outside of the covenant of a godly marriage. He longs for husbands and wives to be one with each other, and pure in His sight.
