This Week… Working Through

This Week...

I’m so ready to be done with school. Our usual school year would have ended this week. However, this will be the first year that we are continuing into summer. I’m not happy about this, however it has been his decision to finish “Flying Creatures” so we can move into “Swimming Creatures” in the fall. I admire his willingness to dedicate his summer to continued study. He also will continue in Math, well, because he likes it so much. I’m going to continue to encourage him to write. I’m going to give him a journal and let him write whatever he wants through the summer. I simply can’t believe we are going to be summer schooling.

Bible...
He is in a study of Psalms. In my opinion, the Psalms are not only beautiful and poetic, but in them we find such marvelous prophecy regarding Christ. From instruction in righteousness, instruction in prayer and praise to prophetic language regarding the life, death and kingdom of Christ the Psalms are marvelously crafted to remind us of the relationship between man and God.

Science...
In his study of Apologia’s Flying Creatures of the Fifth Day he moved into of the study of Flying Insects. Oooh Fun! For boys anyway. Eeww gross! For this mama! I’m not much of a fan of ANY insect. That being said, I am interest to understand more about their purpose.
