I am steeped in planning the end of year awards ceremony and open house for our homeschool support group. We allow each parent to choose Academic Awards based upon the child’s performance in their homeschools. We also nominate other children besides our own for good Character Awards. This is a good way to encourage good behavior. When the children see that others take notice of how they act and what they do, they want to do better. This year our students are receiving more character awards than academic awards and I think that is GREAT!  Since I’ve been making up certificates, it dawned on me that perhaps other homeschooling families…
