This Week… VBS

Slow and Busy Week

This has been one of those typical summer weeks. Slow days and busy evenings with Vacation Bible School at our congregation this week. It was a really great Bible School. We studied the Creation with Digging for Answers from Little Acorns and Apologetics Press.

Beloved was able to work a freelance job and Little Man and I worked on several ongoing projects. Jonathan joined Homeschool Chess Club this week which is led by a coach.
Not only did he learn a little about the game, he had a blast doing it. Big thanks to Amy for inviting us to join.

School, well there was none this week. I did meet with our Teacher/Assessor to show her Jonathan’s portfolio. Everything went well there. She even said that his writing was developmentally on target. I was so excited to hear that because as you know it’s been a struggle. Maybe we can relax a little about it now.

So next week we get back to our summer schooling, but for now we are breathing just a little.
