Homeschool

Heading Home

I’ve decided to head to my parents house for a few days. Quite frankly I’ve been pretty homesick for a while now. Little Man has been begging to go see mammaw and pappaw.
Then Sam at Sam’s Noggin and our mutual facebook friend Brittany gave me the perfect excuse. They are hosting a “How to start homeschooling” seminar in Brittany’s home town, which just happens to be not too far from my parents. While I’ve been homeschooling for long enough to know how this seminar will go, I’ve decided to go to it anyway to see my friends, help support their efforts and some much needed time with my folks.

We’ll be homeschooling in the car tomorrow. Then he’ll do some work while at the grandparents house, which doesn’t make him happy, but is necessary. As I always like to say “have homeschool, will travel.” So off we will go on our adventure. Oh, how I wish he could tour the mountain. But alas, the coal company owns them there rights and they have blocked off access to the important sites.

Since I will be far removed from internet access, I won’t be blogging for the rest of the week. I’ll be back for next Monday’s Marriage Moment. Until the, I’d love for you to look at some archives. If you see anything that speaks to you, comment and let me know.

“Almost Heaven, West Virginia, Blue Ridge Mountains…” Yes that’s playing in my head. “Take me home… country roads.” Ah, I can’t wait, I’m getting excited!
