Sick Days
This past week my little guy was sick. Some little bug, he had a runny nose and a cough, but it kept him out of school for 3 days. He seemed better Thursday but I let him rest anyway. Friday morning we got up went to swim class, I got up late so he had 2 mini cupcakes and a juice box for breakfast. That was so not a good idea. Jonathan got sick in the pool. YIKES!! He was fine, just threw-up that little sugary breakfast that he had had. He sat out for the rest of swim, but felt well enough to complete gym class with no problems.We spent the afternoon at our support group. We finished up the first quarter. The class was Silly Slime where the students learned about viscosity. There was a lot of playing but a lot of learning as well. This picture shows one of the activity hours.
Yesterday evening I started to feel a bit sick like Jonathan was. I guess I got his bug. Wishing I could take a sick day but since we need to make up for some of the work missed last week, I’ll just have to work through. That’s what being a home school mom is all about. Sacrificing my need for the good of my child. Some days that is easier than others.
