Great Peace Academy’s School Room

Not Back to School School Room Hop @ iHN

We are truly blessed at Great Peace Academy with a fully functioning classroom with built ins. In a former life with a former home owner, this room was built to be the workshop of a man who restored old radios. So the built in cabinets and wainscoting were already there when we moved in. I’m sharing some storage ideas below with links to my affiliate Amazon.com. These boxes and magazine holders were great for helping to organize my classroom.

Regular followers of this blog will know that we have been over the past few weeks doing some rearranging of rooms, and decorating throughout the entire house. We began in the classroom. We removed old carpet, old as in from the 80’s and installed a gently used, donated carpet. We painted the walls a deep yellow, which I feel set off the wainscoting beautifully.

I then set about reorganizing and cleaning up inside cabinets and in the closet. The end result is a warm and inviting space to work in.
Here is a before and after shot.

I feel as if the room went from being an early elementary school room to a middle school room and that it has grown up with Little Man.
My favorite part is that we moved the modular shelving into the closet and I love the way that it now looks.
