This Week… Backyard Bash!
I’m starting a “This Week… Link up”. I would love for you to join me. It’s a great way to share with others what you have been doing in your homeschool life this past week. It helps create a great memory “book” for your homeschool journey.
This week Little Man got a lesson in life skills. We hosted a “Homeschool Friends Backyard Bash.” As anyone who hosts a social event knows, there is usually a lot of cleaning up going on around the house to be prepared for the event. We are no exception.
Little Man worked like a trooper! He did whatever we asked of him, with very little, if any, complaining. From moving a pile of dirt, vacuuming, dishes, and taking out the trash, this young man worked hard this past week.
Beloved had to leave early Wednesday morning for a freelance job in Michigan, which meant all of the final prep work landed to me an Jonathan to finish.
We turned the play land into a mini water park. We added in a giant slip-n-slide. We set up several areas of play, soccer, baseball, checkers, tic tac toe, hula hoops and jump ropes. We set up a tree stump play ground in our small wooded area, and of course there was tree climbing.
For snacks we had, chocolate and peanut butter frozen bananas, frozen grapes, freezer pops, some fruit and pepperoni rolls. Yum!
Here are some highlights.
How was your week?
