    Love is in the air…

This spring I have had the priviledge of helping a couple from church plan their wedding. This Saturday is the BIG day. I am so excited for them. I believe the ceremony will be beautiful. I’m not just talking about the decorations, but the ceremony itself, as 2 become 1. They are so sweet, they are excited and look at each other with that look of new love. With Beloved and I just having celebrated our 20th, planning for this wedding brings to my mind the new love he and I shared all those years ago. It has only deepened over the years. Love is in the air.

    A Good Read

I like to share with you great products that I find. This time, it’s a book. When we went to convention in April, my Beloved attended a couple seminars by Todd Wilson. If you are not familiar with Todd, he is a dad/author/comedian who makes my husband laugh while simutaneously gets him to thinking about the man’s role in the homeschool. That day, he introduced the audience to a book written by a homeschool mom. It isn’t a self-help book as we most often see. It is a novel, a work of fiction about life as a homeschool mom. My husband went to the convention floor and bought it for me,…

Knowing you are loved Is far more precious than gold. Knowing your not alone is worth all the world’s supply. Knowing that forever felt like a long time. Knowing that it really isn’t long at all. Knowing that his kiss is reserved for only you. Knowing you have his trustgives comfort that’s understood. Knowing that each nightyou share the warmth in bed.Knowing the gentlenessin the softest of caress. Knowing that in marriagethe Lord in one unites.Knowing that His Willwill lead to peaceful rest.

    Twenty Years and counting…

It seems like forever ago. Then I blink and it seems like just yesterday. So how, I often wonder did it get to be twenty years? Twenty years of “I love you.” and “I love you too.”Twenty years of holding hands under the covers as we drift off to sleep. Twenty years of worrying when that last goodbye will come and hoping beyond reason that you get to have that moment to actually say it. Twenty years of wondering if at the end of the month we will have enough to see us through, and then relief that we always do.Twenty years of sitting in the worship assembly and sitting next…

    What I Have Learned

I wanted to share with you the top 20 things I have learned as my Beloved and I celebrate our 20th anniversary tomorrow. Some days are easier than other days, but everyday is worth the effort. Attraction is a state of mind. I’ve learned that I still after 20 years don’t like doing dishes. But that it is a part of life and it’s MY responsibility because God designed it that way. So I might as well just get to it. God is always right, My husband is usually right, I am almost always wrong. Men take longer in the bathroom than women do.       TRUST ME ON THIS! Cooking is…

    For This Reason…

This week my Beloved and I will be celebrating our 20th anniversary. All week long I will be including posts about marriage. It began long before we were born, this thing called marriage. It began when God created woman for the man so that man would have a suitable companion, a helpmeet; 1 man, 1 woman, she FOR him. There is no philosophy of man than can explain the reason for family. For this reason… Because God designed it to be such.  Genesis 2:18-24“18 And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.” 19 Out of the ground the Lord God…

    Active Day

We are down a vehicle. My trusty Chevy Blazer needs brakes again. I cannot say how frustrated this makes me. I think lovingly back to my wonderful old Ford Windstar Van, that is no more. So I’m transporting Beloved to work, so I can have a car for my running. I have set-up for Homeschool Field Day prep for tomorrow’s festivities. Then it’s off to the Baker for wedding discussion for a wedding I am planning for a lovely young couple from our home congregation. Then it’s a wedding meeting with the couple to go over details. Happy Thursday everyone. I do think coffee shall be my friend today. 🙂 Update:So after posting, my…

    In Memory of …

This is my grandfather. J.H. Aleshire. He served in World War I. Yes, you read that right. The FIRST World War. He was a Pfc, Company H. 18th Infrantry, 1st Division. stationed in France and his regiment was imbedded with a French regiment 21st patrol company, 272nd Regiment, French Infantry.  He was awarded the U.S. Silver Star twice and the French Croix de Guerre (Cross of War) twice for his bravery in combat during 2 separate occasions. The first was for volunteering for a patrol led by the French Infrantry and displaying “great bravery and profound disregard for danger during the entire action” June 13, 1918. The second was for his distinquished conduct  during…
