Four Chicken Dinner Money Saving Tips
With the price of meat being what it is these days I thought I’d share some of my favorite money saving tips for buying chicken.
- Buying a whole chicken is usually cheaper than buying parts. Once you get it home, you can section the chicken yourself and stick into the freezer.
- Speaking of whole chicken, you can find a better price buying a cooked rotisserie chicken from the deli section of the grocery than you can buying a whole chicken in the meat department.
- Buy chicken legs in bulk, then separate into enough portions for your family. Then place those portions into a freezer bag and freeze.
- The meat on chicken thighs has more flavor than chicken breasts and is usually more affordable. You can often buy boneless chicken thighs at the grocery store.
