Memories of Sorrow
I love my life right now. I love my family. I love my friends.
I am filled with joy and happiness resides in my heart.
Yet, there are days when a sorrow so strong overcomes me.
It comes from a place in my history that I don’t talk about because those days seemed so very dark and lonely for me.
Memories of a loss so crushing have darkened my heart of late. I know and have complete faith that it has all been a part of God’s plan.I’m not bringing them up here to dwell upon.
You are not alone.
Look around you. You are surrounded by people who love you. Sometimes sorrow so overwhelming will fill your heart with a despair that has no name. But still you are not alone. Sometimes it may seem that every friend, every family member and every soul has abandoned you, but still You are Not Alone.
There is One who is there, even when all the world has left you. He loves you, He cares for you, He provides for you.
He sends companionship to your doorsteps when it seems that life is gray. He sends hope on wings of His angels through the kindness of a stranger. He is the One who created you and He loves you like no one else. He is your Father in Heaven. He sorrows when you sorrow. He rejoices when you rejoice in Him. “You, are not alone.”
All He requires is that you seek Him with your heart. Obey Him through Jesus Christ His only begotten Son. He loves YOU so much that He sent Him, Jesus, to live on the earth,
to die a cruel death in replacement of your sins, to be buried in a tomb for three days and then to be risen up again to walk a new life. Just as Christ did these things, He asks that you
too do these things. He wants you believe that Jesus is His Son, to repent by Dying to Your Sins, to be buried in a water grave called baptism and then risen from that grave to walk anew in life working daily as a living sacrifice. It is very simple. Just trust in God’s plan for your life. When you
do you will discover a Joy that cannot be explained. There will be a peace that is indescribable and that goes beyond all understanding. You will be made complete in Him.
Scripture Notes:
Colossians 2:11-13
11 In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins[c] of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, 12 buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. 13 And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses,
Matthew 25:21
His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’
Philippians 4:6-8
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
