    Active Day

We are down a vehicle. My trusty Chevy Blazer needs brakes again. I cannot say how frustrated this makes me. I think lovingly back to my wonderful old Ford Windstar Van, that is no more. So I’m transporting Beloved to work, so I can have a car for my running. I have set-up for Homeschool Field Day prep for tomorrow’s festivities. Then it’s off…

    The Wise Woman

Builds Her House   How do you want to ‘build your house‘ today? I read this as part of my study on being a keeper of the home. I immediately thought of my Mammaw Aleshire. My mammaw was a woman who put her family first. She raised 9 children, had 25 grandchildren and was well loved in her community.  She…

Are you asking the Lord to instill in you immediately the ability to be able to wait in the moment?  Or perhaps you are asking Him to miraculously add to your character the ability to…

Finishing Up and Looking for New

I’m finishing up a few stray curricula this week. Liitle man ended Spelling yesterday. We shall finish elementary math by Friday. That’s scarey! Since we found those baby kittens I’m going ahead with the lesson on Human Growth from the  Aplogia’s Exploring Creation with Human Anatomy which will end two years in that book. Don’t let that scare you, I prefer…

    Look What I Found

This weekend was a busy one. On Friday after J’s swim and gym classes I met with some other mom’s to continue plans for Homeschool Fun Field Day. This venture has been one of those ‘If you build it, they will come’ kind of ventures. My friend Angie decided 2 years ago to start doing homeschool field day for her…

    Martha’s Family

Just straight up writing, no editing, just pure freewill writing. This weeks topic – Perspective. Go. My husbands dog just climbed up on the couch next to me. I say my husbands dog because…
