Busy Making Preparations for Church Camp

This Week…
We have been busily working this week to try and finish up some of our house re-do projects from last week. Because today we leave for church camp and will be gone for a full week plus a couple of extras because next Saturday is my family reunion in West Virginia.

Math:

A Little review using Khan Academy,

Science:

This week he has been studying all about bees. They really are fascinating creatures and although they be tiny, they make a very big impact upon this world that we live in. God blessed us truly with the bee. A friend of my husbands is currently a bee keeper and he recently posted a fascinating story on his facebook feed. I will have to get permission to share it.

Literature:

He has continued his reading of the, Billy and Blaze, Series by CW Anderson.

Chess Club…

This was Jonathan’s second week at chess club. We laugh because between Chess club and Lego club we have met 2 additional Jonathan’s of the same age. 1 lives very close to us, within less than a mile and the other we have known for a while but the boys have become reacquainted. This group of boys and Little Man seem to get along very well and I am glad because some of the families from that group are joining in our Making Memories. Which is funny because last year we were girl heavy in the group, this year boys will definitely abound.

On Sunday:

We celebrated National Ice Cream Day after morning worship. We stopped in at our local Graeter’s and enjoyed a little treat, with a big sale!

For Home this Week…

Little Man spent a lot of time in his new playroom this week. We have decided to call it “Little Man’s Lounge.” Here is his new Art Display wall. This is what I did with my $ Spot finds from Target from last week.

This has been a super busy week between prepping for camp, household clean up, blogging and more. We have a long way to go before we are finished with this big re-do of the house. How about you? What has your week been like?
