This Week… Fall Break
A Little Homeschool Breathing Time
As we finish up the month of October, I decided to take a week off. We have been working pretty diligently for 8 weeks, so it was time for the family to breath a little.
I think it’s important to teach our kids to read for fun, not just for school. So I encouraged Little Man to start reading, The Long Winter by Laura Ingalls Wilder.
He spent a good deal of time drawing, playing video games, playing with Lego bricks and watching you-tube Hot wheels videos.
I was able to release my first eBook. You can find that on this post: 10 Days of Meal Planning Free eBook for Subscribers
I also fulfilled a few of my blogging commitments.
Beloved worked several freelance jobs, in fact, he is away for a job today.
How did you finish up your October 2013?

Hooray for breaks and hooray for pleasure reading! I’m itching to start reading the Little House books to my younger ones but I’ve promised myself I can wait until January. We’ve got enough read alouds going right now….

Oh yes, the Little House series is so good. Love that he likes them as much as I do.
Thanks for linking up Tristan. 🙂

Renee, I love the thought of a break. Our next off week is Thanksgiving week…I’m totally looking forward to it! I’m trying to get my daughter onto the Little House books but she seems to have one heck of an aversion to anything I pick out 😉

Oh you know all kids go through that. Maybe just lay books out near where she will be, see what she naturally gravitates to instead of telling her what. Just a thought that’s worth about a pence. 🙂
Thanks for linking up Heather
