Smoothies are a great anytime treat that can be both tasty and healthy for you. And, you get to decide just how healthy you want to make it. Smoothies are an excellent breakfast idea or a filling snack in the afternoon after a long day of work or studies.
You can serve them as a side to a breakfast muffin, or they can be a stand alone breakfast depending on how much protein you add.
I also love a good smoothie in the middle of the afternoon as a pick-me-up when I’m feeling sluggish. I usually whip up two. One for me, and one for my homeschooling teenage son, who is always, it seems, hungry.
