Seeking Peace through God’s Word

I’m  a child of God seeking peace through the study of God’s word, the Bible. I seek His peace for all areas of my life. Whether it is in through my role as wife, or motherhood while training up my child in the nurture of the word, or as a friend and encourager to others my aim is the same, to seek and share the peace that surpasses all understanding which is only found in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Christ did not expect us to remain fully separated from the world, rather, He left us with a great commission to “go into all the world…” Mark 16:15,16. He desires for me to share knowledge of His word with others so that they too can come to know the truth of God and seek His peace as well.

Bible Lessons for Women

“Mercy and truth have met together; Righteousness and peace have kissed.” Psalm 85:10

Study. As wives and moms we get pretty busy. It is difficult at times to make time for Bible study. But it is something we should do. If we want to draw closer to the Lord we must study from His word. He is ever faithful, but we become neglectful.

Through Bible Lessons for Women, I offer you resources to aid in study of His word. I do this through lessons I write, as well as lessons written by women that I know are faithful followers of Christ Jesus.

Training Children

Training Your Child in Peace

If you are a parent then you have been blessed by God our Creator, Psalm 127:3. He also has asked of you to teach your children to train them up in His ways, Proverbs 22:6, in the nurture and admonition of His word, Ephesians 6:4, and to be taught by him. In doing so we are helping our children to grow in peace and the Lord says great shall be the peace of your children.

“All your children shall be taught by the Lord, And great shall be the peace of your children.” Isaiah 54:13

As my husband and I endeavor to train up our own child to know the peace of God, I offer you encouragement through devotional studies of Biblical parental roles.

Bible Study Resources for Women

Studying scripture can be daunting for many, but it doesn’t have to be. God gave us His word so that we can learn to draw closer to him, walk rightly with Him and learn His will for our lives. Which is why he desires for us to “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15. Yet, we also know that in order to understand what we read there may be times when we need some one to guide us. Which is why I want to share with you my favorite online resources for studying God’s word, finding devotional materials, or study guides.

“…Understandest thou what thou readest? And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me?” Acts 8:30,31.

Our aim, mine and my Beloved’s, is to train up our child to know, love and serve God through Christ and to reach a heavenly abode. Won’t you join me in study from God’s word? As you and I grow, we can help our children to come to knowledge of the One who created them, sent a savior for them and is awaiting for them to make the choice, when they have understanding, to enter into a covenant relationship with Him. We can lead our children to God’s peace.

“The work of righteousness will be peace, And the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever.” Isaiah 32:17

“If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.” Romans 12:18
